I'm not sure about this guy, when I heard of this movie, I immediately thought of Mickey Rourke http://imdb.com/name/nm0000620/ to play Silas. See his work in Sin City to see what I mean, he just works as the big, brute monk. I guess Silas isnt as big as Mickey but they can always make him look a little smaller.
I think Paul Bettany could make a good Silas. He's an excellent actor and can be extremely morbid. Everyone knows what 'movie magic' and make up can do, so I doubt they will have trouble turning Bettany into an 'albino'.
I think he could work. He just has that monk-ish sort of look, with his face and eyes.
Movie productions have no problem getting someone to look a certain way. Not just makeup, but with their computers.
he's going to be great! don't worry about it.
Great Silas. I hope he's 2 meters tall or something like this.
